A workshop for vitality.
Labhaus is a boutique wellness atelier in New York City — founded on the belief that the most refined care is also the most personal.

Joannie Almonte.
Joannie Almonte is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner who trained at NYU's Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Her clinical work — at Level I trauma centers and through the height of the pandemic — taught her something most wellness spaces forget: the body keeps a precise record, and rapid, considered care changes outcomes.
Labhaus is what happens when that clinical lens meets a softer ambition. A space that is neither a sterile medspa nor a generic wellness studio — but a composed atelier where aesthetics, holistic care, and mindful movement are practiced as a single conversation, around a single person.
Joannie consults personally in English and Spanish, and has carried her practice abroad — volunteer medical work in Kenya, South Africa, and Ghana. The atelier's philosophy is hers: that real wellness is the slow accumulation of small, intentional returns — and that beauty, balance, and longevity are not three goals but one.
I wanted to make a space that treated wellness the way a tailor treats a garment. Considered. Personal. Made for one.

Four principles, kept.
Wellness, treated as a craft.
Every treatment is composed by hand. Nothing is pre-batched, nothing is automated, nothing is rushed. The same care a tailor brings to a garment, we bring to the body.
Slowness is the practice.
The modern world rewards speed. The body does not. The work that matters — recovery, resilience, regulation — happens in slow, repeated returns.
Skin is downstream of breath.
We do not treat in silos. Skin, hormones, nervous system, sleep, strength — these are one conversation. We listen to all of them.
Curated, never crowded.
We keep our calendar small on purpose. A relationship with the atelier should feel like a private studio — not a queue.
Your first composition.
Every relationship with the atelier begins with a brief consultation. Tell us where you are. We'll design the rest.
